Site Superintendent

Position Overview

MetronCS Commercial Services is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead daily construction operations on our commercial projects. You'll oversee all on-site activities, manage multiple trade contractors, coordinate workflow, ensure quality standards, and maintain a safe work environment. As the project's on-site authority, you'll be responsible for executing the project plan while maintaining excellent communication with the project manager and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities and multiple trade contractors
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and safety briefings; enforce safety protocols and OSHA/OH&S compliance
• Manage construction schedule and workflow; coordinate trades to maintain project progress and timeline
• Inspect work quality daily and identify deficiencies; coordinate corrections and punch list items
• Track and coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and resource availability on site
• Maintain daily site logs and construction records for project documentation
• Communicate regularly with project manager regarding schedule, quality, and site conditions
• Resolve conflicts between trades and address site safety concerns immediately
• Manage site housekeeping, debris removal, and traffic control
• Coordinate site inspections by building officials, inspectors, and inspecting engineers
• Support progress photography and documentation for client reporting
• Enforce security protocols and restrict unauthorized access to the site

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of on-site construction supervisory or superintendent experience
• Proven leadership ability managing multiple trades and large crews
• Thorough knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and building codes
• Strong understanding of commercial construction timelines and sequencing
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade background or construction management education preferred
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with restaurant, QSR, or fit-out construction projects
• Construction Management certification or equivalent
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience with construction management software and photo documentation tools

Physical Requirements

Ability to work full-time on active construction sites in varying weather conditions. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. Full PPE compliance including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots is required at all times on site.
