Position Summary
MetronCS is seeking a creative and technical Sign Fabricator & Installer to join our branding and signage team. You will design, fabricate, and install channel letters, monument signs, architectural signage, and brand elements for premium restaurant and commercial projects. Your creativity, technical fabrication skills, and installation expertise will transform brand vision into impactful visual identities that drive foot traffic and enhance restaurant presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design signage layouts and concepts based on brand guidelines and project requirements
- Fabricate channel letters and architectural sign components using metal, acrylic, and composite materials
- Operate sign fabrication equipment including routers, benders, welders, and laser cutters
- Create and install monument signs with structural bases and landscape integration
- Install interior and exterior signage with proper structural fastening and weatherproofing
- Coordinate electrical connections for illuminated signs and LED lighting
- Create vinyl decals, wraps, and applied graphics for doors, windows, and surfaces
- Ensure all signage meets local sign bylaws and zoning requirements
- Paint, finish, and detail fabricated signs for professional appearance
- Collaborate with architects and designers on custom signage concepts
- Manage sign installation projects from design through completion
- Troubleshoot and repair existing signage systems
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional sign fabrication and installation experience
- Proficiency with sign fabrication equipment and tools (routers, welders, CNC equipment)
- Strong design sense and ability to interpret brand guidelines into signage
- Knowledge of sign materials (metal, acrylic, vinyl, composites) and durability
- Ability to read design drawings and CAD files accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- Restaurant and hospitality signage experience
- Experience with CAD design software for sign layout
- Knowledge of LED lighting integration in signage
- Understanding of local sign bylaws and zoning requirements
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working at heights for roof and wall-mounted signage installation
- Ability to work with fabrication equipment and power tools
- Comfortable working in shop and outdoor installation environments
