Project Manager
Position Overview
MetronCS Commercial Services seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead all phases of commercial construction projects, from planning and budgeting through completion and closeout. In this role, you'll manage project timelines, coordinate multiple trades, oversee budgets, and ensure all stakeholders receive regular communication and updates. You'll serve as the primary liaison between the client, project team, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements
- Manage project timelines and track progress against milestones; adjust schedules as needed to maintain delivery dates
- Prepare and monitor project budgets; track expenditures and manage cost control throughout project lifecycle
- Coordinate and supervise all trades and subcontractors on site; resolve conflicts and ensure smooth workflow
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and OH&S regulations
- Manage client relationships and provide weekly/bi-weekly progress reports and updates
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders in a timely manner
- Conduct quality inspections and coordinate punch list completion before project closeout
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including contracts, permits, and correspondence
- Forecast and manage project risks; develop contingency plans for schedule and budget impacts
- Lead daily toolbox talks and safety briefings on site
- Communicate regularly with senior management on project status and performance metrics
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing commercial construction projects
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to manage diverse teams
- Proficiency with project management software (Procore, Touchplan, or similar platforms)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Understanding of health and safety regulations (OSHA/OH&S)
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with restaurant or QSR construction projects
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
- Background in CPM scheduling and resource management
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools
Physical Requirements
Ability to work on active construction sites, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for extended periods, and working at heights. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
