Job Summary
MetronCS is seeking a Licensed Plumber to join our MEP & Interior Build-Out team. You will install commercial plumbing systems for restaurants, QSR operations, and retail properties, including grease interceptors, water heaters, gas lines, and specialized equipment. Your expertise will ensure code-compliant, efficient installations on complex commercial projects across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial water supply, drainage, and venting systems per code and specifications
- Size and install water heaters, boilers, and pressure tanks for commercial operations
- Install grease interceptors, trap primer systems, and specialized restaurant plumbing
- Run natural gas and propane lines for kitchen equipment, boilers, and HVAC systems
- Install and commission commercial dishwashers, ice machines, and prep sink systems
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural trades for system integration
- Perform pressure testing, balancing, and commissioning of plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot and repair issues in existing plumbing installations
- Ensure all work meets Ontario Plumbing Code and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of materials, time, and work completed
Required Qualifications
- Current Ontario Licensed Plumber certificate (required)
- 5+ years of commercial plumbing installation experience
- Expert knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and equipment
- Proficiency with gas line installation and inspection
- Strong understanding of building codes and safety regulations
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Plumber or Journeyman Plumber with supervisory experience
- Experience with restaurant and QSR plumbing systems
- Knowledge of commercial water treatment and filtration systems
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software
- Leadership and crew management experience
Certifications & Requirements
- Ontario Licensed Plumber Certificate (required)
- Gas Fitter Certification (required for gas line work)
- WHMIS 2015 Certification (required)
- First Aid/CPR (preferred)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly
- Prolonged standing, bending, and working in confined spaces
- Fine manual dexterity for detailed piping and connection work
- Ability to work at heights using ladders and scaffolding
- Tolerance for working in heat, cold, and variable conditions
