Position Summary
MetronCS is seeking experienced Landscaper & Hardscape Contractors to join our exterior and site development team on premium restaurant and commercial projects. You will install commercial landscaping, irrigation systems, patios, retaining walls, decorative hardscaping, and site amenities. Your expertise in landscape design, hardscape installation, and site development will transform outdoor spaces into welcoming, functional areas that enhance customer experience and property value.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial-grade landscaping including trees, shrubs, and plantings per design specifications
- Design and install irrigation systems with proper zones, controls, and drainage
- Install hardscape features including patios, walkways, and decorative pavers
- Construct retaining walls and site grading for proper drainage and erosion control
- Install decorative site features including planter boxes, bench seating, and architectural elements
- Manage soil preparation, grading, and site preparation for landscape installation
- Install landscape lighting for ambiance and safety
- Coordinate with MEP trades for utility location and protection during site work
- Ensure all landscaping meets drainage and municipal requirements
- Manage landscape maintenance schedules and provide plant health recommendations
- Operate heavy equipment and landscape machinery safely and effectively
- Communicate proactively regarding timeline, site conditions, and challenges
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial landscape and hardscape installation experience
- Strong knowledge of landscape design, plant selection, and installation techniques
- Experience designing and installing irrigation systems
- Proficiency operating landscape equipment and machinery
- Ability to read landscape plans and site drawings accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial landscape design or landscape architecture background
- Experience with restaurant and hospitality landscape projects
- Knowledge of regional plant selection and growing zones
- Irrigation system design and troubleshooting expertise
- Leadership experience managing landscape installation crews
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to operate heavy equipment and machinery
- Able to work extended hours during planting and installation seasons
