Position Summary
MetronCS is seeking a skilled Drive-Thru Equipment Installer to join our restaurant systems team. You will install, configure, and test drive-thru systems including service lanes, menu boards, communication systems, and window equipment. Your expertise in drive-thru operations, electrical coordination, and customer experience will ensure every drive-thru window functions flawlessly for fast-paced QSR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install drive-thru lane steel frameworks and structural components
- Install digital menu boards and pricing displays with proper visibility
- Install communication systems including speakers, microphones, and audio equipment
- Install payment window equipment including pass-through windows and security features
- Connect POS systems to drive-thru displays and order management screens
- Install lighting systems for drive-thru lanes including LED canopy lighting
- Install weather protection elements including canopy structures and awnings
- Run electrical and data cabling from POS system to drive-thru equipment
- Configure communication system integrations with back-of-house systems
- Test all drive-thru systems for proper operation and functionality
- Coordinate with MEP trades on electrical, data, and structural requirements
- Ensure code compliance and proper safety signage in drive-thru areas
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of drive-thru equipment installation or commercial audio/video systems experience
- Strong knowledge of drive-thru equipment and operational requirements
- Experience with electrical connections and basic low-voltage systems
- Ability to read drive-thru layout drawings and equipment specifications
- Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with QSR drive-thru installations
- Knowledge of POS system integrations and data networking
- Understanding of audio/video systems and communication technology
- Experience with payment processing equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at heights using ladders and lifts for canopy installation
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work during extended hours for commissioning and testing
