Position Summary
MetronCS is seeking a skilled Countertop Installer to join our finishes team, fabricating and installing high-quality countertops for premium restaurant and commercial spaces. You will work with quartz, granite, solid surface, and stainless steel materials to create durable, aesthetically stunning work surfaces. Your precision craftsmanship and attention to detail will ensure every installation meets our rigorous quality standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate countertops from raw quartz, granite, solid surface, and stainless steel materials
- Operate CNC cutting equipment and stone fabrication machinery with precision
- Measure and template countertop installations on-site before fabrication
- Perform edge finishing, polishing, and sealing of stone countertops
- Install countertops using proper support systems and securing methods
- Coordinate plumbing, electrical, and equipment cutouts and accommodations
- Ensure seamless integration with existing cabinetry, sinks, and equipment
- Manage material inventory and maintain fabrication shop equipment
- Communicate proactively with project managers regarding timelines and specifications
- Maintain safety protocols when working with heavy materials and precision machinery
- Clean and protect finished countertops during construction
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional countertop fabrication and installation experience
- Proficiency with stone cutting, CNC machinery, edge finishing, and installation techniques
- Knowledge of quartz, granite, solid surface, and stainless steel properties and applications
- Ability to read blueprints and accurately interpret countertop specifications
- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements and layout calculations
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial kitchen countertop installation experience
- Experience with stainless steel fabrication and welding
- Knowledge of food service sanitation requirements and surface standards
- Experience managing small fabrication teams
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly (stone slabs can be heavy)
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Comfortable operating heavy machinery and power tools
- Ability to stand and work for extended periods
